At the Grand Designs London Live Show at Excel last year an Architect by the name of Richard Hawkes had a dream of building his very own zero carbon house in Staplehurst, Kent.
LED Lighting has been a buzz phrase for a while now but all it has brought has been disappointment to those who thought it would be their saviour, but what Richard saw on the stand was the first LED he had seen that punched out as much light as anyone would need, yet at a fraction of the cost.

Lumicom is a not-for-profit initiative of the Lighting Industry Federation – the national organisation representing the interests of producers of non-household luminaires in the UK.
Lumicom’s objectives are to meet the compliance needs of lighting companies obligated under the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Reulations. This requires producers (largely manufacturers and importers) of electrical and electronic products to pay for the treatment (including recycling) of WEEE.

Scottish Area Sales Manager Jack Paterson recently sponsored the annual Rexel Senate Scottish Regional Golf Day in Kinross. Jack is pictured presenting Emma Fleming the Dundee branch manager with the IBL prize which was won by one of Emma's customers for the shortest drive!
The event was supported by over 50 of Senates customers and 12 manufacturers who all thoughoughly enjoyed the golf and evening presentation dinner which included chicken stuffed with Haggis!

Hardly believable but true, IBL lighting UK have introduced Mains Tracpacs and Downlighters to its series of products, due to customer demand. These new products feature the mains voltage 50W 50mm PAR16 GU10 lamps and are ideal for many interior installations, however,the performance is no equal to our low voltage range of luminaires.
The Mains Tracpacs are available 1m or 1.5m pacs with a choice of White or Silver finish and with three different spotlight heads to choose from. Supplied in distinctive packaging complete with lamps and are ready to install.
